We observed 42 product cards and their detail panels in the ChatGPT web UI on August 4, 2026. Of 104 purchase options, electronics-retailer EC sites accounted for 23 (22.1%), below EC marketplaces at 47 (45.2%). Among named purchase options, Amazon's official site was the most frequent at 25.

In the 63 within-retailer answers from which a specific retailer name could be extracted, K's Denki led with 184 ranking points, while Yodobashi Camera had the most first-place picks at 22. The top three were within a narrow margin.

Home-Appliance Sale & Campaign AI Capture-Rate Survey: How Far Can Five Major Generative AIs Guide Users to Retailers' Official Campaigns?

We fixed nine official campaigns across three home-appliance retailers and asked five major AIs with two prompts. Of the 90 capture opportunities, official campaigns were explicitly captured 43.3% of the time — by AI 27.8–55.6%, and by brand Bic Camera 70.0% versus Nojima and Kojima 30.0% each.

We audited the official sites of 9 major brands from public information on a single standard. 2 brands had their main bottleneck before being "read," and 6 before being "understood." Only 1 brand reached the point of being "understood" by AI; the remaining 8 stopped short of it. Official support information was confirmed at all 9 brands.

A survey of 400 home-appliance buyers from the past six months. 64.0% prioritized support-related items such as stock, delivery, installation, warranty, and repair — rising to 82.6% for air conditioners, washing machines, and refrigerators. 71.2% felt some anxiety before purchase, of which 37.5% was support-related.

We checked 100 answer patterns from five major AIs — on returns, initial defects, long-term warranties, point refunds, and warranty repairs at five home-appliance retailers — against official information. Only 60.0% guided correctly (25.0% incorrect, 15.0% unable to answer); 15% were incorrect answers carrying real-harm risk, and 62% had a source-URL problem.

Meanwhile, no company offered an "agent-type" experience (Phase 5) that links to purchase history or warranty information to complete a task.
